About Us: Laurencrest Youth Services Inc. is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting at-risk youth and adults through innovative community-based programs. In partnership with the Ontario Adult Probation & Parole Offices of the Eastern Region (Brockville, Cornwall, Hawkesbury), Laurencrest Youth Services Inc. is seeking a full-time registered Social Worker to deliver educational programs and support the community reintegration of offenders.
We are launching a pilot project within our Change Learn Identify Choose (CLIC) program to provide immediate, short-term mental health support for individuals facing barriers to accessing timely services. The Change Learn Identify Choose (CLIC) Program addresses mental health concerns facing emotional, social, and behavioural clients. The purpose of this program is to assist clients placed on community supervision and those recently released from incarceration in positively reintegrating into society.
This pilot project, which commenced on September 1, 2024, will be carried out until March 31, 2025 with the possibility of extension or becoming permanent.
The Registered Social Worker will play a vital role in delivering short-term counseling and support for clients facing emotional, social, and behavioral challenges. Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct intake assessments to identify client needs and develop individualized intervention plans.
• Provide one-on-one and group counseling sessions in person and virtually, focusing on coping skills, resilience, and personal growth.
• Utilize CBT-informed approaches within CLIC programming to facilitate positive behavioral changes.
• Coordinate referrals and collaborate with local mental health agencies, probation officers, and other stakeholders.
• Track program outcomes, submit regular progress reports, and support continuous improvement within the program.
Application Deadline: November 12th, 2024.
